Secondary Design Technology Teacher | Resistant Materials Teacher | Rochdale

This fantastic Secondary Design Technology Teacher position available for a long term contract is the perfect foot in the door opportunity to join a modern and vibrant academy in the Rochdale area.

This Design & Technology Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups. During Key Stage 3 students study a variety of technology classes, including resistant materials, on a carousel. You will be required to teach Product Design to Key Stage 4 students who have chosen to study that subject at GCSE. Tasks should be differentiated to meet the needs of all students and you will be required to demonstrate the use of different methods, materials and tools to create a variety of products.

This Ofsted 'Good' academy caters for around 900 pupils and provides students with a modern and innovative learning environment. One of the main aims of the academy is to not only provide an outstanding education but to engage with the local community. Through building a safe environment where everyone feels valued, and through good and outstanding teaching it is the mission of the academy to ensure that every individual learner is given the best opportunity to fulfill their maximum potential.

To join the QT team and be successful in this Design Technology / Resistant Materials Teacher role you will need to:

*Hold QTS or equivalent qualifications that allow you to be placed in schools
*Have effective classroom management
*Build and develop professional relationships with both school staff and students
*Ensure students learn and follow all health and safety procedures
